This series emerged during a time when my children were still very young. I watched them draw without instruction or correction. Again and again, similar motifs appeared: mama, papa, house, garden. A simple way of mapping the world.
What interested me was not how they drew, but what they chose to include. What was important. What belonged together. Their drawings revealed an inner order that had not yet been questioned.
In a way, my own painting process is not so different. Only that life has become more complex, more layered, and sometimes harder to hold.
